Online Quran academy timings: finding the best class time for your child
One of the first questions parents ask an online Quran academy is not about the course or the fee. It is: when will my child actually fit this in? School, tuition, homework, play and family time already fill the day. The good news is that a 30-minute one-to-one class is short, and because we teach 24/7, you choose the time. This guide shows the time slots that usually work best for children in Pakistan, and how to keep the routine going through exams, holidays and Ramadan.
Why the class time matters so much
Children learn to read the Quran through steady daily practice. A child who reads for 30 minutes five days a week, at the same time each day, usually moves through Noorani Qaida and Nazra more smoothly than a child whose class moves around or keeps getting skipped. The right time is the one your family can protect every day, when your child is fresh enough to concentrate and a parent is at home.
That is the main advantage of an online Quran academy: instead of fitting your family around a centre's fixed timetable, you pick the slot that suits your home, and the teacher comes to you on screen.
After school and a short rest
For most school-going children this is the easiest slot. Most schools in Pakistan run in the morning, so children are home by the afternoon. A good pattern is:
- Come home, eat lunch and rest for a while.
- Take the Quran class before tuition or homework begins, while the mind is still fresh.
- Keep the same time every day, so it becomes part of the routine.
Avoid putting the class straight after the child walks in, hungry and tired, or right at the end of a long tuition session.
Early morning, after Fajr
Some families prefer a class straight after Fajr, before school. The house is quiet, the child is rested and the lesson is done before the day gets busy. This works well for children who wake early anyway, and for families where a parent is free in the morning but busy in the evening.
Keep it realistic: if your child already struggles to get ready for school on time, an early class can add stress. Try it during the free trial and see how your child copes.
After Asr or after Maghrib
Many families choose a slot after Asr, or after Maghrib once the evening meal and prayers are done. Parents are more likely to be home, and the child can read in a calm family room with the device on a table. An after-Maghrib class also suits children whose afternoons are full of tuition or sports.
Do not leave it too late for young children. A five-year-old starting Noorani Qaida will usually learn better in the early evening than at bedtime.
More than one child at home
If two or three children are learning, ask for their classes one after the other. Each child still has their own one-to-one class with the teacher, but the family only sets up the device once, and the evening routine stays simple. Younger children often go first, while they are still fresh, and older children who are doing Nazra Quran or Tajweed follow.
Each child needs their own class time; we do not combine siblings into one lesson, because the teacher must listen to every letter each child reads.
Does the best time depend on the course?
A little:
- Noorani Qaida (young beginners): choose a time when your child is alert and not hungry, often after school rest or early evening. Short and lively is the aim.
- Nazra and Tajweed: any steady slot works; what matters is a few minutes of revision before the next class.
- Hifz: memorisation goes best when the mind is fresh. Many children do their new lesson early in the day and revise later. Our guide to online Hifz classes for kids alongside school explains a balanced routine, and the Hifz course page covers the details.
Exams, holidays and changing school times
Routines change through the year, and the class time can change with them:
- Exam weeks: keep the class if you can, even if your child only revises old lessons; a short daily class keeps the habit alive. If you need a break, tell the team in advance.
- Summer and winter holidays: many families move the class to a later morning, and some children make faster progress with the extra free time.
- Summer and winter school timings: when school start and finish times change with the season, simply ask to move the class.
- Ramadan: many families move the class to after Iftar or after Taraweeh, or to the morning after Suhoor and Fajr.

Families abroad and different time zones
Pakistani families in the UK, USA, Canada, the Gulf and elsewhere use the same idea: pick a time that fits the child's school day in your own country, and we arrange the class for that time. Because we teach around the clock, the time difference with Pakistan is not a problem. Read more in online Quran classes for Pakistanis abroad.
What happens in the 30 minutes
At the class time, your child joins the video call on a laptop, tablet or phone. The teacher shares the Qaida or Quran page on screen, both video tiles stay visible at the side, and your child reads aloud while the teacher listens and corrects every letter. Nobody needs a printed Quran or Qaida. Our how it works page shows the steps, and the online Quran classes for kids page gives the overview. If safety on video calls is on your mind, read our parent safety checklist.
Fees, days and the free trial
The fee is PKR 7,500 a month per student, for Monday to Friday (20 one-to-one 30-minute classes a month). We teach 24/7 and you choose the time. Most families take classes Monday to Friday; for weekend classes, 3 days a week or other patterns, please discuss the days and fee with our team by call or WhatsApp. Full details are on the fees page.
The 3-day free trial is a good way to test a time slot: if the first time does not suit your child, we can try another before you decide.
